Hand Pull Gate
Fresno Valves & Castings manufactures several standard sizes of hand-pull or stop gates. An extruded metal section embeds in the side walls or is mounted on the face of the rectangular flume or onduit and acts as a guide for the gate slide. The gate consists of an aluminum plate reinforced if necessary with hand holes for manual opening of the gate.
A hand-pull gate is an economical way to divert water in rectangular channels.
Overshot gates (also known as pivoting weir gates) are used to control upstream water levels. In principal, they are similiar to a sliding weir gate, but instead of sliding down, the gate pivots on a hinge attached at the bottom of the gate.
Radial gates (also known as Tainter gates) have a large convex surface which dams the upstream flow of water. The gate is supported by radial arms attached at either side that are mounted to trunnions which allow the gate to pivot up and down. This design allows economical construction and operation of gates which need to control the flow of water in large openings.
Series 3800 Type R Flap Valve
The Series 3800 Type R Flap Valves are designed for use on pump discharges to prevent the backflow or intrusion of water into the pipe.
The Series 4200 Type W Pressure Gates hold pressure in both flow directions and are used in canals, flood control systems, pipeline distribution, waste water systems, oil refineries, and various industrial water control applications.
The Series 4600 Kam-Lok Gate is designed for those applications where a watertight seal is essential but a screw lift is not required, such as irrigation canals and ditches, flood control systems, pipe stands and various low head industrial applications.
The Series 6000 Flap Gate Valves allow outflow of water from a pipe or structure to a body of water, but prevents backflow. The Series 6000 is used in systems where seating heads are ten feet or less.
Series 6200 Model 50C Heavy Duty Flap Gate
The Series 6200 Heavy Duty Flap Gate is designed to permit the outflow of water from a pipe or a structure to a body of water while preventing backflow of the same. It is frequently used in reservoirs, tidal basins, ponding basins, pump stands and storm drain systems where seating heads are less than 50 feet.
Series 6400 Model 20-10C Medium Duty Sluice Gate
The Series 6400 Sluice Gates are designed for use in controlling flow through round opening with heads up to 20ft. on the front side and up to 10 ft. on the back. Flat Back models are mounted to concrete headwalls, or machined to match standard flanges. Spigot Back models are for mounting to corrugated pipe.
Series 6600 Slide Gates are used where pressure is in the seating direction only. Flat back models for headwall or flange mounting. Spigot back models for mounting to corrugated pipe. Applications include canals and ditches, flood control systems, oil refineries, fish hatcheries, and various low head industrial water control systems.
The Series 7700 Fabricated Combination Gate combines the functionality of the Series 7600 Slide Gate and the Series 5900 Flap Gate. Available in aluminum and stainless steel, in sizes ranging from 12" to 72".
